All Things!
Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." All things means everything! Even the deepest, darkest pit you have ever experienced. But this does not mean you will not face the fire, but it means Jesus will be in the fire with you.
Psalm 34:1-10
I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Sometimes Faith is a Fight!
Where does my help come from?
When you are facing the giants where does your help come from? Elizabeth examines Psalm 121 and the question "Where does my help come from?".
Psalm 121 (LSB)
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from Yahweh,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to stumble;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will not slumber and will not sleep.
Yahweh is your keeper;
Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
Yahweh will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in
From now until forever.

So you wanna go back to Egypt?
So you wanna go back to Egypt…?
Elizabeth examines the response of the Israelites after God delivered them out of the hand of Pharaoh, brought them through the Red Sea and carried them to Himself. Grumbling, complaining, corruption and an unwavering desire to return to the land of Egypt. Why? And how can we not follow their example. Elizabeth talks about the importance of remembering and changing the way we think. What we choose to set our minds on will determine how we experience life, and our victory over the trials that come our way.
One Year Bible days 74 through 101 (March 14 - April 9)
If you would like to read along here is a list of passages Elizabeth will be reading:
Psalm 77 - I will remember the deeds of the LORD
Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling and disputing
Exodus 15: Bitter water made sweet
Exodus 16 - Israelites are hungry and grumble
Exodus 17 - Israelites grumble and God gives water from the rock
Numbers 11 - The people complain about their misfortunes
1 Corinthians 10: 6-12 - These things took place as examples for us
Luke 9:51 - He set His face to go to Jerusalem.
Romans 8:5 - but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Jeremiah 2: 12-13 - Be appalled, O heavens, at this
Song: Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father.
There is no shadow of turning with thee.
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not.
As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon, and stars in their courses above,
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. [Refrain]
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow;
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! [Refrain]
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Elizabeth reads through Exodus 14 where the children of Israel were surrounded by the Egyptian army behind them and the sea in front. Is this how you feel? Are you a little tired. A little overwhelmed. A little anxious. And a little too weak. Lift up your head and remember, your God commands the universe. His name is I AM and he rules over all. He took on human flesh and became the lamb of God to bring you to himself and to make you his Kingdom.

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust him,
In his presence daily live.
I surrender all,
I surrender all,
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at his feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.
All to Jesus I surrender;
Make me, Savior, wholly thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that thou art mine.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to thee,
Fill me with thy love and power,
Let thy blessing fall on me.
All to Jesus I surrender;
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to his name!

None of these things move me! Part 2
None of these things move me. Are you able to say this no matter what you are going through in life? This is what Paul says in Acts 20 when talking about the tribulations that he faced. Do you have this kind of Faith? Do you want this kind of Faith? This kind of faith takes years to build. As Mike Bradley says if you are "willing surrender to the reign of God and choose to actively participate in an intimate partnership with Christ" God will build your faith every day and one day you may be able to say "none of these things move me" no matter what you face.
In this message Elizabeth discusses how she was challenged in college to build her faith. Her professor used David's faith as an example - how he started small as a Shepard, and when the giant came, he was ready. Will you be ready for the giant when it appears in your life? Start now, start small, and watch God grow your faith as you walk in this Kingdom relationship with Him. One day you will be able to say no matter what comes it is from God and none of these things move me.
If you are battling depression in your life and need to talk with someone who has been there, please don't hesitate to contact Elizabeth at growingstrong@mvranch.org. There is hope!
